Position Title: Scholastic Esports Alliance Assistant Department: ARCADE – Research and Engagement Position Type: Student | Part-Time (20 hr/wk) | Temporary (EOT 26)
Pay Rate: $15/hr
Job Description:
The Office of Research and Engagement (ORE) is seeking a student to assist with going to local elementary, middle, and high schools, and assisting them with gaming activations and technology.
Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
· Assisting with gaming and esports events.
· Manage instructional workshops with teachers
· Troubleshooting gaming technology, such a Nintendo Switches, PS5’s, and Xbox’s
· Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and data entry
· Be an in-office presence for ARCADE as needed.
Qualifications:
· Must have workable knowledge of video games and esports
· Must be a degree seeking student at UNCG
· Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours of courses
· Must be in good academic and financial standing with the university
· Must play video games and be familiar with gaming culture
· Must have a Discord account and be familiar with how to use the platform
· Must have the ability to transport themselves to schools within a 30 mile radius
Pay Rate: $10 - $25 per hour
Grade Level Preference: Any
Major Preference: Ideal candidates will be current students in Videogaming and Esports Studies, Education, or any other major with relevant experience.
