Director, Institutional Research
The Director, Institutional Research serves as the lead for data collection and analysis for the college and is responsible for all external data reporting to state, federal, and national entities. Reporting to the Senior Director, Institutional Effectiveness & Innovation, the Director, Institutional Research supports planning and assessment functions and must work collaboratively across the college to ensure data needs are met. This position operates primarily in a remote capacity; however, the employee is expected to report to campus when necessary to support departmental and College initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads and actively participates in the collection, extraction, and organization of institutional data to support planning, accreditation, and student success initiatives
- Utilizes business intelligence and analytics technologies and develops dynamic and user-driven reporting of institutional data using these tools
- Serves as the Data Coordinator to ensure that all reports are submitted on time to the NCCCS Office; also serves as IPEDS Keyholder to ensure the timely reporting and completion of IPEDS and other Federal reports
- Conducts regular and systematic institutional studies in which comparative and longitudinal data are compiled, analyzed, and reported to provide information on early momentum metrics, course success, retention and completion rates, and transfer performance
- Manages survey development, distribution, and data analysis to obtain relevant information from graduates, current students, faculty, staff, and community partners
