S4F Solutions is preparing a bid for the end term evaluation of a peacebuilding programme in Sudan. The programme has worked for several years at community, cross community, and national levels to support inclusive peace, and it adapted its approach after the war began in April 2023. The evaluation will assess what the programme achieved, how well it adapted, and what its experience teaches.
We are looking for an expert who brings a strong gender lens to peacebuilding evaluation: helping shape the evaluation design through a gender and inclusion lens, reviewing programme documents, conducting remote interviews and discussions with Sudanese stakeholders and grassroots organizations, leading the analysis on gender, inclusion, and peacebuilding outcomes, and drafting sections of the report.
The skill set: solid evaluation experience, including end term or final evaluations; peacebuilding experience or work in conflict affected settings; deep expertise in gender, peace and security; mixed methods skills and experience with fully remote data collection; familiarity with the OECD DAC evaluation criteria. Experience in Sudan or comparable fragile settings is an asset, and Arabic is an advantage. We particularly welcome women experts, as we are building a balanced team.
The work is fully remote, from December 2026 to April 2027, as a short term expert role in a team led by our senior evaluator, with an agreed level of effort and daily rate.
If this fits you, please send an updated CV, your availability across that period, and your daily rate to asaad.taha@s4f.solutions by Friday, October 23 at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. If it fits someone you know, please forward this to them or put us in touch. Thank you. Warm regards, Asaad Taha, S4F Solutions
