I’m hiring a research assistant at EdSurge. This is ideal for graduate students and consultants seeking a high-impact research contract with exposure to teachers, school leaders, and district leaders.
I’m a Senior Research Manager at ISTE+ASCD and head of the EdSurge AI Lab, a grant-funded research initiative studying how schools are developing AI governance and responsible practices. We're on to phase two of our grant-funded research on the impact of AI in teaching and learning. This time, we're focused on reducing the harms of AI use through effective policy development and implementation.
We're offering up to $20,000 for a 9-12 month contract within our fully remote newsroom research center. The RA will report directly to me and work primarily autonomously for 5-15 hours per week. The main synchronous activities will be conducting interviews and facilitating focus groups with educators and district leaders. Once data collection is complete, we'll meet intermittently to collaboratively code and write. We publish our findings directly to our educator and edtech audience of half a million monthly unique readers.
This is a great opportunity for emerging scholars excited about research translation, writing for the public, and disseminating your research directly to educators who can use it.
We’re open to all backgrounds and levels of experience. We can teach you what you need to know to execute this work or leave you to it if you’re already seasoned.
