The Hispanic Reading Room in the Latin American, Caribbean and European Division of the Library of Congress is seeking a Caribbean Area Librarian.
The Caribbean Area Librarian will provide reference and research services, contribute to collection development, and support outreach, programs, and other activities that promote access to and use of the Library’s extensive Caribbean collections. The position requires the ability to communicate in English and Spanish, as well as knowledge of the history, politics, and literature of Caribbean countries and territories. Additional proficiency in French is preferred but not required.
This is a permanent, full-time position at the GS-9 level with promotion potential to GS-12. The position is located in Washington, DC.
