The Syracuse University Libraries Department of Research and Scholarship (DRS) invites applications for the role of Life Sciences Librarian. This position ensures that the Syracuse University Libraries’ collections and services support the academic and research needs of the students, faculty, and staff in Biology, Psychology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Forensic Science and other life science related academic programs and research centers.
The librarian in this role provides essential services, including reference assistance, information literacy instruction, and collection development, and serves as the Libraries’ point of contact for the associated communities. As a member of the Research Impact team within the Department of Research and Scholarship, the Librarian develops services that support the University’s goal of advancing research initiatives and achieving greater research visibility for the University.
This position is based in Syracuse, NY and requires regular on-campus engagement to support students and collaborate with colleagues.
The successful candidate will be appointed at Assistant Librarian, Senior Assistant Librarian, or Associate Librarian rank depending on experience. Salary range: $62,400 – $71,500.
