The University of North Carolina Wilmington Library seeks a Research Data Librarian to serve as a campus expert in accessing, using, analyzing, visualizing, managing, and sharing data in support of the research enterprise at UNCW. This is an 11-month (August-June) renewable non-tenure track special faculty position reporting to the Associate Director of Academic & Research Engagement.
This position will:
- Serve as a campus resource for ethical open science methods for research data, including assisting researchers in meeting funders’ or publishers’ requirements for research data sharing
- Conduct outreach and promotion for the library and the campus community on topics relating to research data
- Provide one-on-one consultations and group workshops and instruction on data-related topics and tools
- Manage and develop Statistical Collaboration and Training Center (SCTC) and data analysis services provided by student employees in collaboration with other units
- Create learning materials and documentation on data-related topics
- Partner with liaison librarians to serve the research data needs of specific disciplines
