UNC Asheville’s Ramsey Library is hiring a Collections & Discovery Librarian to join our small, highly collaborative team on a beautiful mountain campus.
The Collections & Discovery Librarian will provide leadership for the acquisition, description, and ongoing management of the library’s print and electronic collections. This position oversees the full lifecycle of resources in all formats, ensuring that workflows across acquisitions, cataloging and metadata, serials, and e-resources support an exceptional user experience. This librarian also manages Collections Management unit and materials budget, collaborates closely with colleagues on collection development, and serves as the primary contact with our Western North Carolina Library Network (WNCLN) partners to optimize shared systems and resources through Ex Libris Alma and Primo VE.
