The Research Training Institute (RTI) is a unique, highly effective, and collaborative online research and support program. RTI '25 accepts a limited number of graduate students from Library and/or Information Science programs, bringing together practitioners and students for an advanced research instruction and hands-on experience in conducting a research project. There are scholarship opportunities with reduced tuition fees. The application is open from November 1, 2024, to February 18, 2025.
The institute is a one-year online program that consists of a series of online modules in advanced research methods, mentoring by faculty experts and peer coaches, preparing and implementing a research project, and an opportunity to present the research project at the MLA '26 Conference & Exhibits. In addition, many of past participants have published their research projects.
